Dog Days of Summer
August 28 – September 18, 2020
It’s August and The Dog Days of Summer is back. This annual exhibit is all about the subject of dogs. Artists submit their artwork in this all-media show featuring their favorite dog, their antics, their loyalty, and whatever is endearing about canines. At the opening reception, guests are invited to bring their dog. There will be doggie treats and an opportunity to meet Claire Pollard, Executive Director of FURS (Friends United with Richmond Shelters), and one of the adoptable dogs from FURS.
Art Works is donating all commissions on sales from this exhibit to FURS. You can also make a donation at the opening reception or here, online using the donate button on this site. Award winning entries are:
1st Place – Un chein dans la porte by John Fitzgerald
2nd Place – Diva & Pup by Joe DeIulion
3rd Place – Homer by Colleen Hall
Honorable Mention – Guardian of the Pop Bottles by Heidi Nunnally
