ROCK RVA Call for Entries
It’s rocking in Richmond. Join in the fun by submitting your own painted rocks to the Rock RVA Exhibit. You can submit up to three entries. The exhibit will be at Art Works.
We are partnering with The Facebook group Rock RVA. This non-profit paints rocks, shells and earthy things to hide around the RVA area to brighten people’s day! Art Works will donate all sales commissions to this group.
Call for entries is June 18 – July 12, 2022. Submit your entries through our online form.
There will be a cash prize for “Best in Show”.
About the exhibit:
- You may submit up to 3 entries.
- Rocks can be no bigger than 6 inches (height, length, depth).
- Please see the deadline for submissions below. Since we are on a tight schedule to review the submissions and notify everyone, we are unable to accept entries after the deadline. We cannot accept artwork dropped off at the gallery for review.
- Entry fee is $5 per entry.
By submitting this form, you agree to allow Art Works to display, on our website, the artwork that you submit. And you agree to allow us to use your artwork for promotional purposes for the exhibit, on social media, and other platforms as needed.
Important Dates:
- 6/18 – 7/15 Call for Entries
- 7/16 Notification of Accepted Entries
- 7/16, 7/17, – 7/19 Drop off artwork at gallery
- 7/22 Opening Reception
- 8/19 Exhibit Ends
If you are unable to drop off your artwork on the prescribed dates, we cannot accept the work earlier or later. Non Local Submissions: If you cannot deliver or ship your artwork, should it be accepted, then we will present your entry in on our website.

The Reception
We will host a reception on July 22, 2022 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Scavenger Hunt
Join us for a Manchester community scavenger hunt July 23-August 5th at Art Works and throughout the Manchester neighborhood.
We are inviting the community to come paint rocks for these events at Art Works. The paint day will be Sunday, July 17th, 2022 from 2pm – 5 pm. Bring your own rock. Paint and refreshments will be provided by Art Works. Learn more about paint night: Click here.

Parking
When dropping off or picking up your artwork, you can park in the loading-zone in front of Art Works building at Hull and 4th Street. Put your emergency flashers on and please quickly unload your artwork, so that other artists may use the loading area.
