At times, an idea is so alive in my mind I feel compelled to sketch. The mature expression of that image through oil on canvas is a function of distinctive color, texture, and perspective.

I am captivated by warm, vibrant colors, which brighten and enhance reality in an expressive yet pleasing way. Loose brush strokes and thick applications of paint allow images to appear realistically identifiable without being constructed by traditional objectivity. Accurate perspectives, particularly the vanishing points of landscapes, likewise add depth and define forms without confining the beauty expressed through the spontaneous projection of color. It is familiar life in a form and style both vivid and pleasant.
