Cohen is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, where he is currently an instructor. He is a long time painter who has, in recent years, ventured into plein air painting. He loves painting scenes in the Richmond, Virginia area, and absolutely loves when someone can recognize a piece of Richmond through one of his paintings. He works mostly with gouache, but also loves to work with watercolor, oil, acrylic and more.
