DiPasquale, Jasper, Starr

In the main gallery, three accomplished Richmond artists—Paul DiPasquale, Wolfgang Jasper, and Darryl Starr—present a powerful collection that explores form, emotion, and place through sculpture, painting, and mixed media.
Paul DiPasquale, a sculptor rooted in Richmond, transforms everyday materials into bold public art. From the iconic Arthur Ashe Monument to the playful King Neptune, his work celebrates community, history, and the human spirit, inviting us to see familiar spaces in new ways.
Wolfgang Jasper is a painter, sculptor, and ceramic artist whose work reflects a lifetime of creative exploration. Born in Germany and educated at VCU, he taught painting and drawing for over two decades and has exhibited internationally. Now fully devoted to his studio practice, Jasper’s art reveals depth, texture, and a deep connection to the act of making.
Darryl Starr, a mixed-media sculptor, blends raw materials and bold form to ignite conversation. His large-scale and hybrid works challenge conventions while celebrating cultural and emotional energy, inviting viewers to question, reflect, and engage.
Together, these three artists offer a dynamic and thought-provoking exhibition that highlights the richness of Richmond’s creative community and the enduring power of artistic expression.
The exhibition will be in the Jane Sandelin Gallery at Art Works and will continue through January 16, 2027.

Here and Everywhere by MRAA

As Richmond’s oldest professional artist group, MRAA is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting the visual arts and supporting creative growth through workshops, programs, and exhibitions.
The exhibit will be in the Port I and Port II Galleries at Art Works through December 30, 2026.
Disrupted Energies by Dylan DeLuca
Dylan Deluca’s work explores the intersection of technology and organic expression through painting. Focusing on machinery—ranging from military and medical devices to printers, oil rigs, and energy-producing factories—he creates series that highlight the forms and functions of specific technologies. By rendering these mechanical structures with an organic, painterly touch, Deluca transforms machines into subjects that pulse with energy, presence, and life.
The exhibit will be in the Corner Gallery at Art Works through January 16, 2027.
