James Torres is from Brooklyn, NY and has been living in Richmond for the past 25 years. He has attended The Art Students League of New York and Virginia Commonwealth University. He is OMA (Opening Minds Through Art) certified as a facilitator working with clients who have a primary diagnosis of dementia.

Torres’ mediums include painting, drawing, and assemblage art. He has an attachment for vintage, damaged, forgotten, and discarded items. He uses these items to create beautiful pieces of art.
